Privacy policy
We use what you send through this site to answer you and, if you sign up, to send you our newsletter. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for ads.

What we collect
- Booking inquiries
- Your name, email, phone number if you add one, the type of shoot, the date and hours you'd like, and your message.
- AIR applications
- Your name, email, a link to your work if you add one, what you make, the month you'd like, and your project.
- Mailing list signups
- Your email address, the form you signed up from, and your name if you joined from the booking or AIR form.
- Visits
- Anonymous counts of the pages people view, the site they came from, their general location, device and browser, and how fast pages load for them. Nothing in them identifies you.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry or application and arrange your booking.
- To send the quarterly newsletter and invitations to studio events, if you sign up. If the newsletter box is ticked when you send the booking or AIR form, that signs you up too.
- To keep spam out of our inbox. When you send a form, a check run by our host looks at technical signals from your browser to confirm a person sent it.
Who else handles it
- Vercel
- Hosts the site, counts visits and runs the spam check. Like any web host, it sees your IP address and browser with each request.
- Resend
- Delivers form messages to our inbox and keeps the mailing list.
- Google Workspace
- Runs our email, so your messages and our replies stay in our inbox.
No advertising or social media trackers run on this site, so no other company follows you here or from here.
The photos from our Instagram account load through this site, so Instagram doesn't see your visit. Links to Instagram, X and Google Maps take you to their sites, where their own privacy policies apply.
Cookies
This site doesn't set cookies. If you close the mailing list card or sign up, your browser remembers that on your device so the card stays out of your way. Clearing your browser data resets it.
If our host's firewall ever asks your browser to prove it isn't a bot, it sets a short-lived cookie so it doesn't ask again.
We don't track anyone across sites, so the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and applications stay in our email so we have the history of your booking. You stay on the mailing list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address. Visit statistics are anonymous.
Your choices
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, where you can leave one list or both.
Email contact@southfacingwindows.com to see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
When this page changes, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
